“StreetFood” depicts two women working in perfect synchronicity, pounding cereals in a large African mortar. In Tanzanian villages, this everyday activity often takes place outdoors, along the streets — a stark yet poetic contrast to what ‘street food’ means in Western culture. Animated by Virginia Farneti, the artwork celebrates community, tradition, and nourishment, while every edition supports the building of a new school.
